According to National Research Crime Bureau, as many as 109 children are sexually abused every day in India, a 22 percent jump in such cases from the previous year.
As, “creating awareness among the young ones is a key to prevention”, our project, Ray of Hope aims at spreading awareness among children on sex abuse and has become a medium to identify and work with children who have been or who are sexually abused. We work parallel with the state reporting and handholding the child and family in case of sex abuse reporting. Our workshop and awareness sessions are conducted in villages, school and communities in general.
The aggravating, painful and confusing aspect of the children being abused is looked into.
